Liturgy assistants
Our Liturgy Assistants are on a rotating schedule. We welcome everyone who is interested in being a Greeter or Sidesperson, Reader of the lessons or Prayers of the People, and Eucharistic Assistant. We provide training for all volunteer positions. Please contact the office if you would like to be added to our schedule.
Choir
Our choir, under the direction of our Music Director Patti Kemp welcomes new members at any time. Practise is at 9:15 on Sunday mornings before the service. No prior training or experience is required - just the desire to sing in a choir. The choir takes a break from the end of June to September each year.
altar Guild
Our Altar Guild undertakes the task of preparing our church for service every week, and also for special services. The members are on a monthly schedule but welcome new members at any time. Full training is provided.
Building & Grounds
Our parish takes great pride in our church - the oldest in the Diocese. With the building over 175 years old, it requires constant upkeep. If you have an interest in building or grounds maintenance we would welcome the help.
Membership
Our Membership Committee works to spread the word about the benefits and joys of joining our congregation. The spiritual and social aspects of belonging to a Christian group are apparent at St. John's. Join this committee to let others know too.
Fundraising
The Council works diligently to ensure expenses are kept to the barest minimum, but fundraising is necessary. Consider joining the Fundraising Committee to bring new ways of raising money to life.
