Services
Communion
We use the Book of Alternative Services (BAS) for our 10:30 am Sunday services. All are invited to the altar rail to receive communion or a blessing. If desired, the eucharist will be brought to you in your pew.
Sunday School
Children ages 3 through 12 years are welcome in our Sunday School, which takes place during our 10:30 am worship service from September to June.
Bible stories, theme-related crafts, music, games, object lessons and science are all part of our Kids’ Club Sunday morning fun!
Baptism
Baptism is the visible sign of commitment as a follower of Jesus and is the most important (and exciting) decision you will ever make in your life. We are delighted to baptize both adults, older children who wish to make this commitment, and the young children of Christian parents who want them to grow up in the Anglican faith.
Confirmation
Confirmation is a reaffirmation of the promises made in infant baptism and a declaration of the intent to live as a follower of Jesus Christ. In confirmation, the bishop lays hands on the confirmand to pray for the renewing activity of the Holy Spirit in their life.
Confirmation is commonly done for teens who were baptized as infants and wish to claim the faith as their own. However, adults who were baptized in another Christian tradition and not previously confirmed are welcome to join the Anglican Church through confirmation.
Marriage
We believe every individual is a unique and loved creation of God. We believe all people should have the opportunity to be married, so we conduct marriages of:
-
same-sex couples
-
previously divorced people
-
couples of different religions
With our beautiful church interior and stained glass windows, St. John's is the perfect place to get married. Receptions can also be held in our Parish Hall.
Funerals
The death of a loved one is a sad and painful experience. God calls each person home in their own time, and we will meet our loved ones in Heaven once again when our time comes.
We open our doors to anyone who wishes to commemorate the death of a loved one. Our church provides a comforting and spiritual space for those suffering a loss.
Our parish hall with a complete kitchen can be used as reception space after the service. Please visit our Rentals page
